Upon spotting the strange creature creeping down the road, nearby children acted quickly, according to Thepetneeds. When children notice something wrong with other species, they typically do not worry. However, this wasn’t the case for these Canadian children, who saw an unusual creature while playing outside.
They decided to assist the animal themselves, as it was wrapped in spray foam but retained its mobility.
There are many possibilities, such as rabies-infected raccoons, skunks, cats, and dogs! Though Aidan Hart and Jaydon Pettitpas love animals, they don’t know what the animal was!
There was even a car driving under it for protection because the animal was in a really dangerous condition!
In order to determine what the creature was, Aidan and Jaydon had to look more closely, but it proved extremely challenging. They were able to determine that the creature was not hazardous, so they decided to help it.
Following an unsuccessful attempt to lure it with food, Jaydon and Aidan removed it from beneath the car! They then called Aidan’s family to ask for advice on what to do next.
Upon receiving advice to take the animal to a veterinarian, the children immediately followed that advice and went to St. George Veterinary Clinic.
As the veterinarian Dr. Eagan pointed out, the animal would have died had it not been sedated. After sedating the animal, she then used alcohol to remove the foam!
There was no doubt that it was a squirrel. The squirrel was overjoyed to see that he was safe despite having lost some fur; thanks to the courageous children, he was able to make it.
