Pets are loved by many people. However, some families make an unethical decision to throw them out like garbage, either dumping them on the street or taking them to a shelter. A villager from North Africa passed by a dark empty street at night when he heard heart-wrenching weeping sounds coming from the roadside. A man followed the cries and found a tiny puppy squirming and moaning in pain.
While helping the puppy off the side of the road, the man noticed that the puppy’s mama and littermates were nowhere to be found. The puppy grasped its stomach with its whimper in fear as the family collapsed around it. There was a puppy in pain, and he was scared and confused in the new place. The man quickly placed a warm blanket on the puppy, but had no idea how to calm him until he discovered what the problem was.
It wasn’t long before two pets of the man came running over to care for the distressed rescue puppy, a cute orange cat and a spunky black dog. They comforted and licked the crying puppy and assured him he would receive all the help he needed. When the puppy had drifted off to sleep, his two new furry friends snuggled by his side like protective siblings. That was such a sweet gesture! The story illustrates how close animal friendships can be.
