The young puppy Joy was abandoned on the street, weak and unable to care for himself. He seemed to be letting his future be decided by chance since he was left without the care of his mother. Thankfully, volunteers from Howl Of A Dog, a non-profit organization dedicated to animal rescue in Romania, discovered him and brought him to their facility.
It was considered Joy’s first day of life when he entered the shelter because he weighed only 160 grams. In addition to being extremely vulnerable, orphaned newborn puppies are blind, deaf, toothless, and unable to regulate their body temperature. He was cared for and supported by the staff despite many obstacles.
His first week was spent sleeping and eating with the help of staff. After three weeks, he finally opened his eyes. He began interacting with other animals. At seven weeks old, he was strong enough to eat on his own. Once he was ready for adoption, everyone helped to find him a new home.
Four months after Joy’s adoption, his new family Ellen and Ricardo drove across all of Europe personally to bring him home. They fell in love with him, so Ellen and Ricardo drove across all of Europe to bring him home. It makes us happy knowing Joy is now residing in his long-lasting home with his family.
