Sundae had spent her entire life in a junkyard and a chilly garage.
She gave birth to a litter of pups without ever entering a home after Country Roads Animal Rescue Society rescued her from a dog hoarding situation in Oklahoma City.
Her face was filled with relief the moment she laid down to rest after she was shown how important it is to sleep in a warm bed.
There was no doubt in Sundae’s mind that she was safe.
In a Reddit post, Mugglequeen, Sundae’s foster mother, reported, “She’s completely toilet trained, incredibly nice, and really polite.” “It’s hard to guess she’s never been indoors before.”
Mugglequeen named her Sundae because she seemed to match her sweetness and the gorgeous chocolate, vanilla, and caramel tint on her face.
Initially, Sundae was suspicious of men, but after a pair of her foster mother’s boyfriend’s shorts were placed on her favorite area of the house, she began to feel at ease with him.
Mugglequeen says Sundae loves to snuggle with her foster mom whenever she’s able to. “She sleeps as close as possible to me in bed,” she said.
Having languished for a long time without medical attention, Sundae is finally getting the care she needs.
She needs dental work as a result of her vet’s examination, which found that Sundae’s puppies also had heartworms.
“She’ll stay with me until she finds the perfect family for her,” Mugglequeen explained. “Her ideal family would be very relaxed and patient, so she has the chance to grow out of her shell and gain confidence.”
Hope someone adopts this adorable mom dog soon.
