In the beginning, Fifty was born with the purpose of helping people. After his expectant mother was saved through pregnancy by a compassionate family, the family adopted him from among his littermates. As the lively pup lived happily with his people and another dog sibling, Izzy, the unimaginable happened.
As a patrolling cop spotted Fifty, he grew scared and shot him on both right limbs. The dog was a sweet, gentle dog, but because of his bullet wounds, both of his right legs were amputations. This was a textbook example of Pit Bull prejudice.
After losing their house owing to the recession, Fifty and Izzy’s owners were forced to surrender them to the shelter. As he was learning to balance on his two remaining legs, his world was once again turned upside down. Having lost his one constant in life, Fifty was back at square one. In a dark and uncertain era, he realized that he had a true passion. Although his circumstances were challenging, he was determined to succeed.
After standing with the support of walls for a while, he would repeatedly fall. His persistent determination and effort led to his recovery!
Having rehabbed at the shelter for nine months, Fifty found a loving, permanent home. His new people and siblings immediately captured his heart, and he vowed to be a model citizen every day. As a result of the thrilling experiences and cuddling sessions throughout his new existence, he adjusted to his new life.
He jumped at the chance to be a foster brother to other sad creatures when his new owners foster dogs in need regularly.The 50-year-old survivor has overcome adversity after adversity, despite his health issues.
