As a discarded Pit Bull named Pumpkin, her future was grim. She was “thrown away” after contracting heartworm. The photo of Pumpkin posted by Collar Inc. instantly drew Jackie’s attention. However, she lives with her parents and they refused to let her adopt the dog. Jackie felt heartbroken. A few months later, Jackie returned home and saw Shiloh upstairs. A collar jingled downstairs, and she ran down to investigate. As she approached, she saw Pumpkin standing there with a bow around her, with her parents giving her an early birthday gift!
In response to Jackie’s question, her mother replied that she wasn’t totally sure just yet and they’d see what happened. Well, it’s been three years, and Pumpkin and her family are still going strong! According to Jackie, Shiloh isn’t Pumpkin’s biggest fan, but she tolerates her like an annoying little sister. Pumpkin is getting a second chance in life, and we can’t wait!
