Here is a photo showing a happy dog after he arrived at his new forever home.
One of the SPCA of Wake County’s high-intake shelter partners took in a dog named Petey back in October, according to a Facebook post.
As the SPCA reported, Petey had been overlooked repeatedly by adopters during his time in the shelter.
Petey’s luck soon turned around when they took the sweet dog in, determined to find him a home.
Petey has finally been adopted by the SPCA, according to a recent update.
Additionally, they shared some photos of Petey in his new home, including one of him asleep in a nice warm bed, a big smile on his face.
SPCA wrote, “That’s the smile of a dog who knows he’s home.”.
Petey was also adopted by a family that said he was living the best life possible.
“Petey is adjusting very well to his new surroundings,” the owner wrote. “He loves sleeping in the bed, playing fetch, and smelling around the yard. Plus, he loves to play with his new brother and any other doggy friends he finds. He’s the perfect addition to our family.”
A happy ending is clearly in order for this sweet dog.
“Petey has such a beautiful personality and is opening up to us,” his owner wrote. “I am so glad to have him.”
Thank you so much to this family for adopting Petey! He looks so happy and comfortable in his new home!
