As a sick and skinny senior dog, Abby was found eating garbage to survive by animal control. According to estimates, she was between ten and twelve years old.

Because the animal control department did not have the resources to care for the dog well, they contacted the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana.

Upon seeing her, the rescuers did not believe that she had survived so much on her own. As well as having a broken leg and skin and ear infections, she also suffered from other ailments.

Her health problem has not been treated for such a long time, so the rescuers started treating them right away. As a result of her problems, she had to spend weeks in treatment and even undergo surgery. In comparison to when she was first brought in, she is doing much better now.

As soon as her treatment is completed, she will be available for adoption. She deserves a forever home, and we hope she will find it.
