Almost every person treats dogs as part of their family and considers them to be their best friend, so much so that they hold the title of being a man’s best friend. There are stories about dogs saving their human families from dangerous situations from time to time, which proves that they are loyal protectors.

Sadly, Zeus sacrificed his life when he smelled danger at just 8 months old. Though the family mourns his death, they are grateful to Zeus for saving their kids.

He started throwing something like a rope around in his teeth while playing outside in Sumter County, Florida. Then he lay on the ground and looked unwell. He was actually bitten by the coral snake. When he saw the snake approaching the child, he leapt to protect him. A coral snake bite can paralyze the breathing muscles of the victim with its powerful venom.

The snake spotted Zeus coming and Zeus immediately jumped and attacked it. Unfortunately, Zeus got bit four times during the fight by the snake. In spite of Gina’s best efforts, the dog died. It was a tragic loss for the family, as they felt that brave Zeus had saved their son’s life. He was the family’s hero and will never be forgotten.
