As a result of her owners abandoning her on the road, Eliza June was struck by a vehicle. Eliza June was left dazed, shaking, and crying when her rescuers found her. In spite of her recovery from her injuries, the shelter classified her as “extremely aggressive” as a result of her mental scars.
As a volunteer, Annie Morgan took care of the difficult Eliza. Despite having broken her pelvis, broken hip, and bruised lung, she became uncontrollably aggressive as a result of her psychological injuries. Eliza shuddered when she saw a leash or collar, as she was intensely afraid of human touch. In her early days in foster care, Eliza had difficulty getting used to Annie. In anticipation that Annie would harm her, Eliza hid in a corner and shut down.
In spite of Eliza’s cowering fear-dominant posture, Annie became even more determined to help the baby heal. After finding solace with Annie, Eliza struggles to rebuild her broken soul in this heartbreaking film. It is hard to imagine that the puppy at the end of the video is the same terrified puppy that started! Our ecstatic hearts are full of joy as Eliza has grown into a kindhearted sweetheart, and has also succeeded in taking “foster” with her!
