She was shaken to her core when she saw Violet, a small dog with multiple bite wounds and purple fur at the “Vet Ranch” animal clinic. Violet’s owner said she was mauled by a larger dog when she surrendered her for euthanasia.

As a bait dog, Violet’s owner attributed the purple fur to a purple wound spray applied to her shortly after she was mauled. Many bait dogs are known to be colored purple before being trained as fighting dogs. As a result of medical negligence, Violet’s wounds festered for weeks, bringing her closer to death.

An eye-opening video from Dr. Karri shows Violet’s medical procedure. As Violet endures the difficult treatment process, a vet administers heavy pain medications and antibiotics to treat her infections and abscesses. Violet has finally emerged from septic mode after 12 days of constant monitoring!

I’m delighted to see Violet’s happy run at the end, after seeing her depressed and defeated expression at the beginning. When she’s in Dr. Karri’s arms, her gratefulness is contagious!

The happy ending for Violet came when she was adopted shortly after she had fully recovered. She lives with her new mother, Kelly, and her Jack Russell sister, Peanut, which is the same size as her! Thanks to Dr. Karri, Violet is now living a very happy life!
