In her life, this beautiful, sweet dog never had a good day. For seven years, her cruel elderly owner chained her neck and left her there. She was never allowed to run or play or snuggle up with someone who loved her. She lived in squalor. With the passage of time, her long hair became tangled and matted, trapping and frightening her as it became longer. We hope it wasn’t too late for Luna. She endured the most miserable existence possible as she ate her meals from the ground for seven years.
Luna had no idea where she was going when the DAR workers arrived. She was terrified of being on her own. She had never been free before. But one of the rescuers hugged her close and attempted to reassure her. Her owner had left her a blanket for her for the first time. She was able to lay down inside and feel comforted by something soft, and she was absolutely amazed. She wasn’t forced to sleep on the hard, filthy ground or in the barrel left for her by her owner. She must be delighted! “So this is what it feels like to have your hopes come true!” she probably said to herself.
Afterwards, Luna got her head cleaned and got a new hoodie. Despite all the mats on her head, she was like a champ. She couldn’t stop wagging her tail as she ran around, expressing gratitude to her new pet parents. As soon as Luna was adopted by her forever family, every day seems like a dream come true. She even has a canine sibling!
According to her new family, Luna is always happy now. She’s grateful for life and understands that she spent seven years in a terrible environment. She is striving for her own best life.
