When life gets tough, there’s nothing like a loyal dog to keep you going. A dog’s love can give you strength and get you through any situation.
The same holds true for celebrities: actor Jeremy Renner, who suffered serious injuries in a snowplow accident earlier this year, showed a heartwarming photo of his own special “protector” during his recovery.
The 52-year-old actor was run over by a 14,330-pound snowcat at his home in Washoe County, Nevada, on January 1. Renner suffered blunt chest trauma, and later revealed he broke over 30 bones.
According to hospital reports, Renner was in critical but stable condition after being airlifted to the hospital.
Since then, he has shared updates on his progress, thanking fans for their support. On January 17, he announced he had been released from the hospital and would continue to recover at home.
With his family and friends by his side, as well as well-wishes from around the world, Renner also has his trusty dog by his side.

Renner has previously shared a photo of Hershey: on Valentine’s Day, he shared a photo of the dog curled up next to him.
