A dog came along and changed everything for this orphaned baby fox after his mother was killed by a car.
An abandoned 3-week-old fox cub in Germany was all alone after its mother was killed on the side of the road. His chances of survival were slim, but fate intervened and he was brought to a veterinarian instead.
As a result, an animal-loving couple adopted the little fox, now known as Dinozzo, and they also had a collie/collie mix named Ziva who raised the fox back to health.
Despite the impossibility of their friendship developing, Werner and Angelika Schmaing welcomed the little fox to their home in Oberscheld, Germany along with Ziva and their Bengal cat named Leopold.
It wasn’t long before the fox cub developed friendships with Ziva and Leopold. He loved to play with them, cuddle them, and even learned how to use the dog door.
Dinozzo got strong and seemed to be happy in his home. However, he is still a wild animal that can come and go as he pleases in and out of the dog door. But so far, he seems happy and content to stay with his friends.
Although Dinozzo wanders away from home, he seems to have settled into family life with lots of fun, food, and people who love him.
We can only hope that the friendship between the three animals there will never end, even if the fox eventually leaves the family home.
This cute rescue story that turned into an unlikely friendship story is one we hope you enjoy as much as we did.
