It was reported that a mama dog and her pups were dying in a remote field when the employee arrived at the Dog Rescue Shelter of Mladenovac, Serbia. His instincts led him to look in an abandoned warehouse, but he realized he would have difficulty finding the pups due to the sheer size of the field.
It was evident that the furry family had been abandoned there and had gone without food or water for days when the man discovered a diseased mother dog and her sickly pups in a corner of a warehouse filled with discarded cement and sand bags. When the rescuer approached, the 2-year-old dog began to shake. Her health had deteriorated over time, so it was impossible for her to keep her puppies alive.
Demodectic mange had caused severe illnesses for both the mother dog and her pups, the man discovered. Following their arrival at the shelter, the rescuer gave them therapeutic baths to remove parasites, which allowed them to be rehomed. Following their rehabilitation, the pups will be offered for adoption after they have recovered. UPDATE: All pups have been adopted and have found forever homes.
