Melissa tells the story of Oliver, a 14-year-old dog belonging to her neighbor. She says Oliver is extremely independent and travels around gathering gifts for his human friends. He is also quite intrusive, entering Melissa’s home without permission.
He also expects his doggy friends to be happy to see him. The more the dogs jump around in excitement, the happier Oliver becomes. Melissa said Oliver has impeccable timing. As soon as he walks in, Melissa feels as if he’s part of the family, and she is fine with that! He either comes early in the morning when she enjoys her coffee or when they’re at a family party.
His mother Sue has put a GPS tracker on Oliver’s collar to ensure his safety, along with his wandering spirit. Oliver often walks straight to his house when he is supposed to go home in the evenings. According to her mom, Sue, Oliver also hangs out with another neighbor during happy hour.
He is blind and deaf now, but he still enjoys every moment with Melissa’s family and knows his way around Melissa’s home by heart. Read on to learn more about this sweet pup!
