During a visit to Bali Animal Welfare Association, Jen encountered a tiny, injured puppy hiding beneath a scooter. When Jen touched him, he reacted badly, lashing out at her. She says, “It was obvious to me that he had no trust in humans.”
Eventually, she succeeded in bringing him home. She put him in a soft shopping bag, and he fell asleep while Jen set up his new quarters. She was reluctant to wake him up, but knew that he needed to eat. He earned the sweetest name: Budji.
Budji and Jen’s other dogs hit it off right away after two days. The frightened pup was so happy to play with his new friends that he had changed his whole demeanor! He realized he was finally safe and didn’t try to bite Jen anymore.
In spite of his small size, Budji was able to scale the furniture like Spiderman. His whole spirit changed. The pup’s skin was still in poor shape, but Jen noticed a big difference in him. What follows is absolutely amazing! Budji is almost unrecognizable at the end of this video! I’m so thankful for Jen and all rescuers who work tirelessly to help dogs in need!
