Even if they are abandoned or almost beat to death, dogs remain loyal and trusting to humans. This is the story of a Golden Retriever that had lay motionless near the corner of a building for hours. Eldad and Loreta went to the spot as soon as they were instructed to save the dog, since they had no idea why he had remained there.
It was impossible for them to determine how the dog would react to them. He did not respond to the treats or anything else they gave him. Anyone who saw his fear would realize that this was a serious problem. It must have been a nice dog, but his behavior was peculiar, and he looked perplexed, staring blankly at the strangers surrounding him. It was as if he couldn’t believe anyone would help him.
Despite being in pain, the dog was so docile that he patted them before slowly falling into the trap that the crew called him Antonio and immediately took him to the vet for a medical inspection. He was able to leave his spot after being comforted. He was transported to the hospital, where he was suspected that somebody without a heart had kicked him so hard. Thankfully, none of his bones were shattered. However, an ultrasound revealed that he was internally bleeding. In addition to his ruptured spleen, the dog had a severely damaged liver. The veterinarian warned that if the crew did not take the dog to the hospital that day, he would not survive.
His recovery was excellent thanks to the outstanding medical staff. After the procedure, Antonio was taken to his foster home with The Little Red Dog, where he was eventually adopted permanently. As a result of his love for his new family, Antonio greets every member of his family when they return from work or school at the front door. He truly deserves the warmest abode for the rest of his life.
